Privacy Policy

How MVM Educational Institutions collects and uses information from its website, enquiry forms, online application portal, WhatsApp, and Google and Meta advertising.

This policy explains what personal information MVM Educational Institutions collects through this website, our online application portal and our admissions contact channels, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Who we are

MVM Educational Institutions (MVM Educational Trust), No.1336/72, Vikas Layout, Palanahalli, Maruthi Nagar, Yelahanka, Bengaluru 560064, runs this website at mvminstitute.edu.in together with its colleges and health centres. We decide how the information described here is used.

Information you give us

Admission enquiry forms

When you send an enquiry through a form on this website, we receive your name, mobile number and email address; the college and programme you are interested in and your city, if you enter them; your question, if you write one; and the page you sent it from.

Online application portal

Applications are made on our application portal at apply.mvminstitute.edu.in, which runs on Meritto, an admissions management (CRM) service we use to receive and process applications. When you register or apply there, the details you enter — including academic records and documents you upload — are stored in Meritto on our behalf and used to process your application and keep you updated about it.

Phone, WhatsApp, SMS and email

If you call us, message us on WhatsApp, or write to us, we keep a record of your contact details and what you asked so that our admissions team can help you. WhatsApp is a service of Meta Platforms; messages you send us there are also subject to WhatsApp's own privacy policy.

How we use your information

  • To answer your enquiry and guide you through admission, including calling you back and sending you course, fee and admission information.
  • To process your application and, if you join, to manage your admission.
  • To send you updates about your enquiry or application by phone, SMS, email, RCS or WhatsApp. You agree to this by ticking the consent box on our forms or signing up on the application portal.
  • To understand which of our advertisements and web pages lead to enquiries, so that we can improve them (see below).

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

We advertise our programmes on Google and on Meta (Facebook and Instagram). To measure whether that advertising works, this website may use:

  • Google Tag Manager, which loads the measurement tools below.
  • Google Analytics, to count visits and see which pages are used.
  • Google Ads conversion tracking, to learn when a visit from one of our Google ads leads to an enquiry or application.
  • Meta Pixel, to learn when a visit from one of our Facebook or Instagram ads leads to an enquiry or application, and to show our ads to people likely to be interested.

These tools use cookies and similar technologies and share information about your visit — such as the pages you view, the ad you clicked and whether you sent an enquiry — with Google and Meta, who process it under their own privacy policies.

When you arrive from one of our ads, this website also keeps a note in your browser, for up to 90 days, of the campaign that brought you (the utm_ campaign details and the ad click reference in the address). This note is passed with your enquiry or application so that our admissions team knows which advertisement you responded to. It is not used for anything else.

You can block or delete cookies and stored site data in your browser settings, and you can control personalised advertising in your Google (opens another website) and Meta (opens another website) account settings.

Who we share information with

  • Our service providers, who handle information only on our instructions: Meritto (application portal and CRM), our web hosting provider, and our email and messaging providers.
  • Google and Meta, as described under cookies, analytics and advertising.
  • Universities, councils and government authorities, where admission rules or the law require it once you apply or join.

Information collected automatically

  • Web server logs. Our hosting server records technical details of each request (such as IP address, browser type, page and time) to keep the website running and secure.
  • Spam protection. To stop automated spam, the enquiry form keeps a scrambled (hashed) copy of the sender's IP address for one hour.

Students under 18

Many of our applicants, particularly for the Pre-University College, are under 18. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to send the enquiry or application with you, or to give their consent, before you share your details with us.

How long we keep information

We keep enquiries and applications for as long as they are needed to answer you, to run the admission cycle and for our admission records, and then delete them. Records of students who join are kept as required by university and government rules.

Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us for a summary of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct, complete or erase it, withdraw your consent to be contacted, and raise a grievance. To do any of these, email admissions@mvminstitute.edu.in or call +91 70906 69999 / +91 96060 80656. If you withdraw consent, we will stop contacting you about admissions; it does not affect anything done before.

Some links open other websites, for example government scholarship portals, university websites, map directions and our social media pages. Those websites have their own privacy policies.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date above.
